These socket drive screws are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Like platinum and gold, titanium is an element near the top of the galvanic scale and its resistance to corrosion of all kinds is legendary. Its position on the galvanic scale is one of the reasons engineers specify titanium for use with carbon fiber.
The Ring around the head is a trademark so you can quickly identify that the screw is manufactured from a high strength titanium alloy. With a minimum yield strength of 128,000 psi (880 Mpa), they are designed for structural applications.
